Wow. This is a great game all around, super well done and polished, but enough people will go into detail about how this game is, one of the best games I've played on this site ever.

I wish you good luck in the Newgrounds Halloween Competition! Had a feeling that perhaps me and my friends game could have won but you blew us completely out of the water lol

Jack responds:

hey, from one ohio developer to another, i hope you do well in the competition!

Although I've been making games for this website for around 4-5 years now, I'll be the first to admit I don't play many games on here. Sometimes there are a few gems on the frontpage but most games I play on here are mediocre at best (Unlike my games, all of my games are amazing and literally have 0 flaws).

But this game has been the first game in a long time to genuinely capture my imagination and be great. I know the game this is inspired off of has clunky controls, and you have managed to not only respect it but make small improvements to it as well.

I may be gushing a bit but I respect almost every aspect of this game and I feel like it's a great base for something far greater! I will be coming back to play this over and over again for a while.

If there is one thing I could say would be a nice addition, it would be to add a scoreboard since the games main goal is getting a highscore.

orange08 responds:

Thank you for the really nice review! I don't play a lot of games on here either. Being a developer can really limit the amount of freetime you can devote to just playing other people's games. Happy to hear you've found my game inspiring. Your review has made my day! :)

For a first published project this is very impressive, very cool!

I've read a few of the comments already and it seems like people mostly said what I was thinking in regards to feedback so I'll just be here to drop some words of encouragement. :)

TsucchiDev responds:

Thanks a lot for the encouragement! From a popular NG game developer such as yourself, this really made my day!! Cheers :D!!

Does your mom like it?

mmattugh responds:

I think so.

Has some very small, very fixable problems but overall very fun and addicting game. Great job my guys :)

Oultrox responds:

Thank you my man!

I'm always looking forward for feedback:) if you want just hit me up in DM and let me know what do you think I'll improve the game.

I really liked the music along with the simplistic yet challenging gameplay. This actually reminds me of a test game I made a while back called 2600 ball, But anyways nice work dude, keep up the good work my fellow 15 year old. B)

hackD3v responds:

Aye thanks Bud, don't stop making ;), if you have the test ill gladly try it out.

For your first game, it's pretty cool I guess, Just keep trying to make better and creative games!

ArlesLunaAmayo1 responds:

OK, in fact, i´m working in a new game. Probably will finish on july

Honestly, was thinking I was gonna play a substance less game, but I actually really like the existentialism from a god damn meme. It may not be a good game but a funny and creepy "Experience".

JackAstral responds:

Thanks :)

as a constuct 2 game dev. I find this very impressive! It's simplistic and fun and I really like, its short and sweet but it's still really cool and you should keep up the good work. The only thing I don't like is the character designs in game, if they looked atleast close to what there portraits looked like then that would be cool. Anyways, gut game :)

nemezes responds:

well, the characters are simple, because they are hard to draw as it has a lot of animations. in a future, I hope to make each one looking like their portraits. thanks. :)

I like the idea (of mechanics), The story, along with the nice music. But it lacks in visuals and actually gameplay. If this is your first time using the engine then congrats, it's really cool. Keep working to make better games. (And, to be honest, Construct 2 is better in my opinion.)

Fatal-Exit responds:

Thanks a bunch, it's my first time using C3. I do own C2 but so far I've only used it for non serious stuff. It's also the first gamejam I've entered. Curious, how far did you make it through the game? And thanks for noticing the music, I'm primarily a musician rather than a developer.
